NEET Stands for National Eligibility Entrance Test, the qualifying test for MBBS & BDS programs, formerly known as the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT). Conducted by NTA, NEET offers about 90,000 seats in various MBBS & BDS Colleges in India. It happens in May every year.
Eligibility for students to appear in JEE Mains:
Mandatory Subjects: Students appearing for NEET must have Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology as their compulsory subjects in Class 10th and 12th and must have passed these subjects.
Qualifying Marks: For General Category candidates it is necessary to score 50% marks in 12th grade, whereas SC/ST/OBC category candidates must score 40% marks to be able to appear in the exam.
Age Limit: The lower age limit for the aspiring candidates should be 17 years as of December 31of the admission year.
The upper age limit for the General category is 25 years
The upper age limit for Reserved Category & PwD is 30 years.
